Thursday June 9-1910 Marlins. At Syracuse N.Y. took trolley to Marlins, out 7 miles from the city. Quarry Hill east of Marlins, Chenango Branch of the Beginning on the NE slope of the hill at the Norther R.R. R.R. track the hill side has a fine exposure of a finely granular dark grey well bedding at many designs a few ostraco- odonta, leads to Stomatopora and in one place the chirindites formosus joints, and Ventriculites sp.,caenthus. Spirifer oranuseni [illegible] [illegible] from the quarry zone to the R.R. track. These are less than 35 feet. Near the top of the Stomatopora and occalipythmops, 2 feet thick. from make a thin cap of about 1 foot thick. Upward in the section a coarse interbed (farm land). Partly on dip slope to quarry level or little if any is lost. Give a 28 inch bed of laminated somewhat arjilaceons dark colored oolite with a few O. varanuseni, and Repedites alta. Has nigger head lumps on top of Stomatopora. [illegible] a 24 inch light dark cloud dense fine limestone with very rare L. alta one. [illegible] Then 4 feet of light grey argillaceous li. and rarely L. alta and Pheymichelle lamellat?. Breaks up in Then about 62 inches of laminated dark to nearly blue O. varanuseni (blackish fine and then coarseness) Haeckel limestone. In 2 beds one 14 the other 28 inches. Then also 4 feet of argillaceous dolomitic chalky
