Rhyolite - Ignite from Beersville.
The aplavonate near the ignite. Have taken samples of both. Described more of the folios of the
U.S. G.S.
He saw from Culrus Lake, a summer re-
sort region is very fine. One looks from the Kittatinny
ridge across Long Pond across over to the skyline of
Precambrian erods,
Stopped at Crofton Hotel at Hewton, a good hotel
in a pretty village.
Oct 2, 1933. Tuesday.
Near Monroe R.R. station saw the base of
the Jacksontuy. Here rich in alpa. Have taken
a slab.
On a railroad cut 1/4 mile from station of
Hewton, one sees the Hardstrom quartzite
on the ignite. Initially met more just here
followed by the alluvium of the Kittatinny. I wonder
if there is here a transitional zone to at Franklin
