series. Hardly thick as is, but the point should be considered. We next stepped one mile south of Atkors and looked at dark blue slates and then reddled quartz grits, very much like those at Monkhegan. Strike N. 38 E. At Atkers in the stream is an exposure of the same the reddeled series, but here the quartz grits are in beds up to 2 foot thick. The next strip was three miles crest of Harmony, there are massive dark-blue quartz grits with some slate. All much metamorphsed. Strike N. 10 E. Then at Harmony. Here is the railway cut just to the south of the station (Orrans Central) in once shown a series of laminated dark blue sandy muds and slate, highly shot through with small and large quartz veins. See specimen In the river face at Harmony beneath the bridge and of stream is a series of blue then reddeled laminations like those we saw at the Kingslow tin mine, south east of Braterville. At least 10 feet are here seen, the lie becoming less and less through the clams. See photo's up on printout card. About 300 foot of strata are here seen. There is some crumpling. Three miles north of Harmony occur the reddeled quartz grits, that look as if they had rock particles. See if this is or since. Have two pieces marked H2 Granite intrusion occurs in Harmony Township.
