August 14 - 1923. Tuesday. Highgate Center, Ill. Caught rock all morning in the Mississippi River near Highgate Falls. Got the greatest depth material from the main locality of last year in the Upper Milton. Raymond hopes to make the list later or may try to go after trilobites. In the afternoon, just went to Highgate hill, place in pasture just outside of Highgate Center. Raymond got some material and I got about 10 Lingulella acuminata. Then to the railway cut in the Highgate hi. Got no fossils. Then to the little road metal quarry at the top of the Caledonia. Got a few Linnarasmella and Dero there. Raymond got what maybe - hypothy Dictyomena and a worm tube. Have reside of the cutter. Then to the conglomerate in the Middle Mal- lott. An international engl. rock. Here up to 3 p.m.
