August 13 - 1953, Monday.
High gate Centre - St. Alfons.
Went south east of St. Alfons to the frontm
employment locality west of Georgia Centre. Saw
nothing new.
Then went to Pdykus Ledge and collected some
Lower Cambrian material in the Arfon onicoceras rusty
slate. Raymond was much pleased with the locality
as some years ago he tried to find the place and failed,
for a far ordinary species.
Then drove north to the Hiltfons Bay
road to make some of the succession up to the Adams
Pasture employment. Where the N-S. road enters the St.
Alfons Bay road then in Milton d/Monte, going a
little south on the road we came upon the little cliff
base for ham situated by Reitz having the Ordovician slate.
Then the Mallett d/Monte lower down. The latter, lower,
is very thin, just less than 20 feet thick. Where
I saw it on the St. Alfons road on Aug 11 it in the
as farth more seeing Aug 13
base of the Mallett and an enigmatic; yet here can be
seen to near on the transition series to the Ordovici.
Therefore the succession to the Adams Pasture is normal
Over the Milton should come the Hlgate but all is
crowded. It may be that the so-called Middle Cambria
