Berkeley, Feb 28 - Monday At 9 A.M. started out to see once more the great city of San Francisco. Crossed on the Southern Pacific Ferry and then on by train to Cliff House on southern side of the Golden Gate, demanded from a entrance to San Francisco Lantern. Had some sand dabs at two Cliff House. Have a great deal of the San Fran- ciscan series in the sea. It is a highly folded and crumpled series, much jointed marines and some less metamorphosed. It is not altered enough to be Portuguese age, but parts of it may well be Paleozoic age. However for present needs it will be best to regard it as Jurassic and Tertiary. The Luther Museum near Cliff House is an antiquated museum and of no price. Is connected with Luther Baths. Then walked through part of Chinatown and bought two drills for 3 cents. Returned to Berkeley and the Carlton Hotel at 4 P.M. Packed up and then read until lunch time. Left at 8,19 P.M. for Oregon,
