Mr. F. M. Anderson called on Clark and was introduced to him. He's a gentle man, about 65 years old, wealthy and only about 20 years in San Craft Mission area. His collections and most all goes into the Cal. Acad. of Sciences in Golden Gate Park. Raining again in the afternoon. Spent the evening reading Springers Crin- od lull on the Library floor. Berkeley, Thursday Feb 24. Spent the great part of morning with Prof. Clark. Talked over his proposed publi- cation on the Tectonics and History of the Coast Ranges. Started in on a few small matters as the use of positive and negative Hells (= rather rising and sinking Hells) and the use of Revolution.
