San Diego, Feb 1 - Tuesday Packed up and shipped a small box of prints by Parcel Post. Then said good-bye to the people at the Museum Library. Left at 2 P.M. for Los Angeles. Got here at 6 P.M. Put up at Hotel Storrer. Los Angeles Feb 2 - Wednesday. At 9.15 took the electric cars for Pomona College at Claremont to see Dr. Alfred Donald Dorriford, a geologist. It is 33 miles to the east of Los Angeles. Found Dr. Dorriford in his Laboratory in the basement of the Chemical Building. Talked about and Geography and he gave me a copy of the paper treating of it. Had Lunch with him in the College Inn, and then talked over the maps. Returned at 3.48 and for the hotel at 5.30 P.M. What I learned from Dorriford is stated elsewhere.
