In addition Deacon has 100 drawings of
Washington Cenorgie frogs made while he was
working in the State Library. This collection has
about 100 type specimens.
He wants to present all of this material
to Peabody Museum in consideration of an
adequate place to work and to use the university
facilities. Of course some official title should
be given him as for instance Research Associate.
He has an income of $2500 a year but this
is probably not enough for him and his wife to
live on. He wants me to find out what he
can live on at New Haven, not in the country
or an acre or two of land. Both the Deacons
don't care for society, she will do all their
domework, and they want to live modestly.
Apparently he does not care to teach but
is willing to do a limited amount of typing,
Cenorgie and Cenorgie lines. Leave him-
