Travelled from Portland to Portsmouth New Hampshire. Put up at the fine Kensington Hotel. Jost Beach is the first next to Oak Orchard.

Traveled from Portsmouth to Salem via Hampton and Fallstury Beaches. All are small affairs Some rather original about them. Back to Boston and Lennox Hotel

Spent the day at Marble Head a very quaint place. Met the artist Pretty at once.
