New Haven, August 30 1916
Started at 4:08 P.M. for Greenfield
Mass to meet Professor Raymond, and
his student Clarke. Tomorrow morning we all go together in an auto to
see the Adirondacks between Wolcott and Watertown.
Greenfield, Aug 31-7 916
Met Raymond and Mr. Clarke at 8:30
at the Mansion House, and we started at
once for Albany, N.Y., in the famous auto.
In Greenfield there was a heavy fog or
haze but a half hour along the Mohawk trail the air cleared and we had a fine
scenic view of the Berkshires, via North Adams and Great Barrington. Left for Albany
by 2:30. Then called on Dr. Clarke at
the museum for the rest of the afternoon.
His new museum is fine and splendidly
