As the Trikes Hill fauna occurs here near the top of the Beechman Town, and at Bellefonte Pa, near the base, it follows that the Beech- mentum of this region is only base Beech- mentation and may form a part of the same formation of the Champlain Valley. This is the original area for Birdseye formation. It's a local character, and the so-called birds- eyes elsewhere are due to other causes. The crystal- lire fillings or common in all other places show no evidence of being due to Tetradium. At least there's no evidence in connection with the fillings, if they are due to Tetradium then in some tubes one should get the evidence of the crabs.
