Range. All are now snow covered, even Mt Clinton is some- what white. Made the climb easily in 25 minutes, and came down in 20 minutes. In the afternoon walked on the road towards Base to Bear Brook Bridal Trail about 2 miles North and then east on the trail to Mount Washington Hotel. Left at 2 P.M., entered the trail at 2:35 and came out on a road at 3:15. Then across the golf links to the Hotel at 3:45. To the Kaw Trull at 5:45. This was the first clear day, and it was plain to see the mountains. All stood out clear and sharp. At 5:45 the sun in setting broke through the clouds and illuminated the Presidential Range. Finally off the snow covered summit of Mt Washington was illuminated against the blue sky. It was a fine sight and we were not forgetful. A cold but not too cold day to walk around.
