Monday
September 13-1920 White Mts.
Left New Haven for Bretton Woods at 10:47
A.M. and got there at 8 P.M. It was a warm
sunny day at New Haven but as we approached
the region of the White Mts. it clouded up and
was raining before we got to Bretton Woods. The
mold was cold and over, death with no moun-
tain crisitle. Out of the Mount Pleasant
with the rate $8.00 per day. Even so I can
of stay one night because tomorrow there is a
convention here and the house is run full.
It's a fine summer hotel but too expensive
for a university person.
Tuesday
September 14-1920 Bretton Woods.
It is still raining this morning. The view from
the hotel is fine - an artificial prepared in the
midst of low wooded hills. The Presidential
range is not in sight. I will have to leave
tomorrow at because the rate at the Mount
Washington is the highest in the White Mts.
