Called on Raymond at Starrad early
9.30 we are on our way to see the Rhyn-
chomella locality in the Newbury volcanic
complex. The place is on a side turn pike
and comes when the Newbury post toll line
leaves the Newbury post pike and turns east.
The fossiliferan layer is not over 4 inches thick
and is now much deformed and even small
contorted. Seen number of the Rhynchomella.
Locality is 3 miles south of Rowley and
is described in Emerson's Bull 197 U.S.
G.P., p. 163.
We then went to the Cyprian Mining Road
locality some 3 miles south of Danvers and Grafton.
Here in lone direction got a few Leporiditas,
They are said to near L. alta, at the
horizon is thought To be late Silurian. Lava
flows an close associated. There is also much
laminated blue clay or flint with metasedimented
Shale.
