The Oolite is blue
does not apparently exist on the
spot but must be closely in place.
The black band came on into a
blue gray band just as it is in
the tent at truck. This may be
a Big Sandy glacial pebbles deposit.
The Bridgman formation is more
shown in a small quarry to the east
of Big Sandy. It appears to have the
same thickness here as at Camden
about 20 feet. The Sturges and
Catawba are more abundant than
at Camden. The Oolite is

seen many times along with
Camden gravel for say one mile east
of Big Sandy.
