once called to send up his collection
and to give his collection at his death
to the Victoria Museum. I did not
foreman the idea.
March 2-98 St Louis, Mo.
Had an early breakfast and got
my tickets for Kansas City. Then walked
around the city - visiting the Druthers and
Platner Hotel and the river front. At
10.45 went to meet Hamback,
In the Museum of the Washington
University - there is a fine slab of Melmiles
multiporus about 2'6" x 4" with like
6 or 8 species on it. They show up nice
and a number show the dorsal plates.
Hamback said the Univ. paid about $500
for it but that it is worth about $100,
If we could get it for $70 I think we
would do well to purchase.
