finally got into calmer water and turned into a cave on the windward side of which was a narrow niche between rocks into which we were glad indeed were more be in a refuge from the waves and saved the rocks. Landed about 7 P.M. during some half way from how road to store once morning. It was a "Greenland experience", written much your live while in bril- lion sun amidst grand and imposing scenery. It turned out to be a nice camping place. It but was not the name. The place was a former Eskimo living place, but the natives knew nothing of it at that time. Less than home sits an now or near sea level, means the place has sunk outside. Section of floor of floors shows at my first for much earth filled into holes, etc. Up in valley above sea, south, found old graves from which Johnknot and Hickney each obtained 2 skulls. Night extremely cold and chilly. Several corks stranded and got stuck. We are glad to be safely on land again after Samb alarms and harleys expecting our boat any mo- ment to appear. It was unfortunate that the winds should loose all their tackle.
