Along the heech the strata are seen to dip rapidly westward and are over run by the basalt seen high in the hills to the east. The beds of this way nothing more than basalt I see commonly traversed by dikes of the basaltic material. The Heech beds are also traversed by dikes. It looks tonight as if the weather will clear and be more pleasant. Hope it may.
