The moon is out to night in her full glory plain
visible in the day light.
Aug 14 Saturday. Marsort to Slibestorfell,
being to feed or lots lost night we did not
rise this morning until dawn. The natives by the
time had their breakfast and after one hour we at once
broke camp. By 9.10 we are away and get in to
Karsuut to get one specimen purchased of Mr.
Brenton. While take a picture of Mr & Mrs Brent,
a puff of roven, and me if men. At 10.15 we say
good bye to all including the parson and are
saluted by six guns. He returns the salute and slowly
sail away. The wind however is small and we
use some of the oars. Soon we form a Right Whale.
At 12.30 we going at our camping place
near Angiarsuut an old house site. A very short
distance from our camp is a glacier and a little
to the east is a big cliff of sandstone and cozy shale.
While at dinner the Rev Pastor call in on his
way to NiaKornat. He has dinner with us and
remains about two hours.
At 3.10 P.M. White and I go out along the beach
to collect fossils. After a little collecting we come
