A little further N. are the lower crinoidal limestone is seen. The electric fault line in the railroad cut I think is what makes the Aircraft appear so thick. The Aircraft seems to be shoved upon itself making it appear about twice as thick as it really is. The following is an estimate of the thicknesses and the succession, about O mython. Pomona Crinoids. Mr diagnostic form was seen 4-5 fut. Aircraft - probably above 120 fut. glass quartzite (Mill less than 100 fut.) heavily bedded crinoidal li. Probably Creymerian About 30 fut seen. Apparently gellious shales come next. In the afternoon walked along the Iron But rail-road to the mine about 3 1/2 miles. There arrived in in the Ovidian formation since I picks up iron with casts of Spirifer arenous, Lep. almbridulus orthricus. In sandstone saw S. arenous, Arenis litt. kate, Edmunda edgularius, Cancellatus at mid
