In the Panther Lpf region the Rockwood has become established and also compared with the Buffalo Lpf is far better defined. In the latter region the Clinton fossiliferous horizon is about as well marked as Panther Lpf. The red shale horizon at Buffalo Lpf is present with but little in force, but at Panther Lpf there is much more red shale and a great development of the Clinton zone. A Niagara group seems to be absent at Panther Lpf and the cordulata thin reddish blue lgy and the rhynchonella zone occur at Buffalo Lpf and which I thought to be the Cumberland Niagara seems to be but a part of the Rockwood at Panther Lpf. The Helderbergian, e.g. Beersville and Hur gayland maintains a heavy bedded crystalline limestone it obtains more chert at Panther Lpf. The Creymans at Panther Lpf is not marked by such an abundance of crinoided remains as about Augusta Springs etc. At Panther Lpf apparently in the Coeymans there is -
