"When we looked at spermatids in colony G.L. showed me a zoecium wh. had spermatids + oocytes together. She says there is intracolony fertiliz. as well as cross fertiliz. She would view dev. of sperm and eggs as occurring when colony has reached a certain size ie. certain stage of maturation ie. there is a certain phase in alogenetic development when sperm +eggs develop -there are no "ovaries" or "testis" in bryozoa, this occurs in coelom"
