Tracing Fox Hills west along strike. 1) Sphenodiscus luper. just S. of Canyon (#2) [illegible] swath, [illegible] layer forms grassy slopes, these gradually reaching valley floor, just east of first oil well sand appears in small bluff at foot of low grassy scarp made by thinly bedded sands. Sphenodiscus zone can be traced by outcropping of weathered concretions near base of grassy slope--up to this point. Concretions getting sandier + greyer fossils - Oysters 2 types clams Small 1/ shell small bivalve These rocks might possibly be breccia
