"Washington April 15-1936
Left Dr. on a fine morning at
10:00 and will arrive at
New Haven at 4 P.M.
The last two days has been co-
plete with new information among
the paleontologists of the U.S.N.M.
and J.S.G.S. Cooper is the one
with most new correlations on the
Middle Devonian and I hope he
will carry his correlations into
full fruition. He wants to place
the Sturgespokes fauna between
the Onondaga and the Hamilton.
This is radical and appears to be a-
gainst all former information. He
tried to see himself in the Delaware
of Ohio and elsewhere to substantiate
this, I must have to look into this".
