Newford, Tuesday April 9-1935 Dark, windy and cold day. Have not seen the sun since I left Florida. Read all morning the four page edi- torial in the Times of the death of its own- er Adolf Ochs, who was born at Cincinnati in March 1858, and when I was born the following July. What a great career has been his! Nothing but worthy and only no more absorbing than that. At 3.30 called again on Dr. Timmins to get more cold shots and more advice. Left N.Y. 4.33 P.M. to get to New Haven before 7 P.M.
