Fort Myers, Thursday, Jan. 24.
A cool hot in Florida or cold morning with the thermometers down to 36°. From Tampa south nowhere did it get to freezing (32°). But the prediction is that it may set down to 20-0 tonight, but I don't think so.
The day has been fine and sunny with but little wind.
In the morning one waddled over the Edison bridge, which is about one mile from the Shute shore, but with the mud flats it is only 1/4 mile long. The Calusa watch his show a distance and many miles to the east.
Dolled again in the afternoon along the Royal Palm Street of the city.
Brief leave to return on to have for Sarasota.
