Washington, Dec. 29 - 1929. Sunday
Strolled around the Capitol Building of the Nation,
Capitol Library, and arranged my journey to St.
Augustine, Florida. Called on Mr. Mordey, and
had dinner at seven at Mrs Merrile. Present
here the Reiths and Perkins (Maine).
Saw the volume of birthday [75] letters given to Mr.
mrsle by Mrin Morodey, having nearly 200 letters of congratu-
lations, with many from foreign countries. As a frontis-
piece it had a picture of Merrile holding 2 card and
2 haddrell. The pictures was an enlargement [pre tale]
taken by his daughter and which Merrill had written "The end
of a perfect day."
Monday, Dec 30 - Washington

here Mrin Mordey, and Reeves (Lue Howell and Moore).
Reeves agreed to let us see what Brachipoda are
need to see. Reeves ambition is to spend the rest of his
life in the hills.
Saw Springer room of Echinoderma, a large
room full of specimens around three sides of the room.
Also had a oil painting of Springer and Louis
Aganig. There is much unrolled crinoids (Comptonia)
