In this eral the Barpe SS may now have been
laid down on Chaleun key. The late Ord. folding made
a land here, and in the valley to the N.E. was laid down
the Barpe SS and the whole Barpe series. To the S.W. of
this land lay the Silurian sea that did not enter the E
Barpe Basin.
The turning of the "Appalachian Mts" in the Gulf of
St. Lawrence and outlet of Clarke, then took on the curious
tending during late Ord. and more especially in late Dev.
time.
