"Corner of the Beach
Saturday, August 30-1930
Staid around the hotel in the morning and wrote
some. Staid a little later in the morning and storm cleared
up or I decided to try for the upper Cambrian locality.
Had dinner a little after eleven o'clock and by
moon drop on the road to Beautifiol. An auto came along
and wanted to give me "a lift" and so I got in, and in getting
over less than two miles other the road rises sharply con-
cluded to try the gallery. Going on the rail-road just to the
north of the auto-road was a good small outcrop and so I
investigated. In a little while I saw some fragmentary tril-
lites that I could not determine, but the ls looked different from
anything seen before. Finally got a loose large piece of a thue
ls that had many trilohts, and as the black flies came had
concluded to take the whole of it home and there break it up into
ts. Isaw at least ten heads and tails so I came down
turned up in the Kindle locality.[This piece piece goes fine]
Then going to the auto-road found a much better
exposure of the same ls but saw no good frind road. Set-
ty to the top of the turn of the road when lo Isaw Kindles's
can parked on the side of the road, but he was somewhere in
the bush. So I wrote on a piece of paper "How do you do? C.
Schuchart" and placed it in Kindles can so he would find
it on his return!"
