Congl (1) goes W along the shore of Malta to a place E of Malta Cove and the English Church on the hillside. Here is a high cliff at or just below creating to E, from the large cave. Beneath it and the cong (1) where abrupt cliff occurs the red scattering cross-bedded ss that dips nearly S. In the basal feet of the cong, the pebbles are much smaller than usual and more angular, probably one-half the size of the higher beds. The ss go for 200' of any steps east along the shore of Malta Cove, where Congl (2) appears and continues on W, despite I will see tomorrow. The basal feet of Congl (1) are comprised of small pebbles that are more angular from lower up. Try an probably half the size here than at halfway up to the top.
