Canton, Ohio, April 10-1930. Thursday
Talked all morning with Phil. Carl in
the afternoon. Drosty called in his large Buick
and showed us the One Hively memorial, then
to Coneys Island of Canton beside a large lake,
then to the Dodgean Hangar near Akron,
then to St. Lourdes at St. Joseph, and finally
tack to Phil's. Here here was a dinner party
on y de Shorts (Phil's wife's family) and the
Drostes (Ma and Mrs and two daughters). Retired
at 10.30 P.M.
Canton, April 11-1930. Friday.
In a cab left Phil's home for the Akron Bus
and at Akron changed to an electric car for Cle-
veland when I arrived at 11.30. Had another
cab to take one to the N.Y. Central depot. Then
to the Cleveland and Nat. Hist. Museum on Euclid.
Came out at about 2:30 o. It is a small museum
in one of the former fine private residences, in the turn
down later on. All is excellent what there is. Of
Chalwelache they have six good but small spe-
cimens all under this flat tray. Also have a fine
Ocattrama from dry mining, and a fine labyrinth out
from Texas. Also the Johnstown Ostradan.
