Cincinnati April 8 - 1930 Tuesday Alice told me down to the Public Library and opened the daughter looking at Mundrock, and then the car for a short trip of Cincinnati, Ohio. Walked down Fifth Street to see the place of my birth near the crowded-crowded pizza town of over Cincinnati. Had lunch at the Ritzon Hotel. Then to Albert's factory at 4:00 P.M. From here walked to the main Penn. R.R. to take train for Norwood, where one met Alice at the Carnegie Norwood Library and then took a trip home for dinner. She Alice had her own - a Mr. Hauck - a graduate of Gin. Univ. A man about 30 years old, rather studious but somewhat pessimistic, otherwise a nice fellow. A cold day. Cincinnati, Wed. April 9 - 1930 Another sunny day, and not so cold. In the morning walked with Alice to the Norwood Library, her workshop. Had a long lunch. And then Albert in his car got Emma and at 1:30 P.M. together came off to Canton, Ohio to call on brother Phil. Changed cars at Columbus. Arrived at Canton on time at 8:30 P.M. Dorothy told us we are come to Phil's home.
