Sunday, Feb 26-1928. Jacksonville A cool, cloudy Sunday morning. Write the discussion of the Klein-Wick Bulletin. Had after lunch at Hotel Mason in the Roof Garden. In the afternoon had a long walk to the north through the Parks along Sturgons Creek. Then took the Arnoldo car south to an immense sky scraper apartment house beside a nice little park. Then walked back to hotel. Monday, Feb 27-1928. St. Augustine, By Bus at ten o'clock started for St. Augus- tine about 40 miles south. The place has grown and since I was here before, and it is now a first class tourist Town. The architecture is modernized Spanish. Two very large hotels and many small ones, besides the Indian "Rooms for rent." The Old fort is now in excellent condition and is well preserved. Visited two oldest house in town, built before 1760, door of coquina = shell rock. Man blasted over a very durable building on track and the result sawn into Hecho. Got back at 5:30 P.M.
