Back to Hiernon Hall to hold the last
meeting of Section E. Five papers were to be presented
by J.H. Swartz did not turn up. Dr. Smyth by
noon.
It is raining. The first one in over a week.
At 4.30 Jones back to the Medical School
of Vanderbilt University to meet with the Committee
of Prize Award of the G.G.A.S. This Com. consists
of [illegible] A. Boern, (Chairman);
Dr. Petriom, Prof. Scholte; Mrs. Duane, Harvard;
C. Johnschur; and R.J. Terry (Chairman).
At this meeting I placed in competition the Mon.
by S.R. Mansfield - Geograph., Biology and
Mineral Resources of Northeastern Idaho. It's
the only paper submitted, so far.
At 7 P.M., attended the dinner of the Geographers
and Biologists at the Scarritt School. Here Campbell gave
his Presidential Address on Geographic Terminology which
was largely pessimistic. Then came the address by
