Corner of the Beach Monday August 22-1938 We expected it would be raining today, and so it is. And after having a hard out off once again in the Cambrian fowls. In two hours he is back over all through. It continued to rain until late afternoon, and this morning it has cleared up. We decided that it's useless to move more on the Cambrian. Still now take up the Ordovician, but may not make much headway in searching out the few scattering fossil horizons. Corner of the Beach. Tuesday, August 23-1938. Today we are to spend on the Whitehead Farm, all the way from Corner of the Beach to Whitehead Lake on the coast. We hunt and hunt but see no trace of fossil until within one-half mile of the Priest's Road. Here in a stream bed
