Corner of the Beach Saturday, August 20 - 1938 A bright, cool, and windy morning, but nevertheless John out feel little doing geologic work in the Cambrian. Cloud goes out alone and is kind enough to urge me to stay at the hotel, and John so. At eighty years one has no business to do fieldwork. When Cloud came in at noon he showed me some of his C. fossils, the best of the trip. One was the adult Dicellocephalus, another large and fine physidium, and small Dicellrocephalus. Two fine specimens of a paprolite. He wants to make one more effort to collect one. In the afternoon John and Cloud the south coast of Malta by and the Camme de Rode fm. This was the first day climatically of the trip.
