Friday November 13th
Took the nine A.M. train from New Haven to New York to see Mr. Timm.
Put up as usual at the Murray Hill Hotel but in the first time in 30 years found the place full. However they as-sured me that later on they would have a room, and got into it at 3.30 P.M.
Walked down Park Ave to 32nd and then over to Fifth Ave, and north on it to about 60st. Had lunch at the hotel.
At 1:15 walked up Lexington Ave to 54 to call on Mr. Timm. Found he had no written letter as got from Dr. Conners. Reason he had moved and my sample got to him while Timm was telephon-ing. Timm will report to one by mail. If I cannot call again on Timm to - tomorrow because he is going to Princeton game at Princeton. Timm said it would be the first vacation in ten years, a full
