"Saturday July 17-1937.
Left Bangor at 9.15 A.M., on our way
To Newport Maine. Had been over this area
with Keith. There are many exposures, but
"Silurian"
as far nothing before made an attempt to
collect. Newport at 9.55. Waterville at
10.45, Augusta 11.40, had lunch here,
Leviston 1.30 P.M. Bgag 2.05, At Ro-
cheleu New Hampshire at 4:20. Then
thru the capitol cit, Concord and put
up at a farm house some miles S.W.
at McKenm (The Hillinton Inn). Had
a good supper here, and slept well
while on of the night. This Inn is now
rebuilt in the style of 1700, The house being
built in 1796 and remodeled in 1934.
