July 14 - 1937 Rednes day
At 8 A.M. started on foot up the moun-
tain road to Sarpe (or St) Fort St Anne) to
collect in the Rich wood at the two places seen
with Cofren. The road has been widened and
more rock is exposed. Above are oaks, trees,
and below the larch Catacya grove all goes into
shale. Bryzrae are common in some of the
trees, but he brachipores are almost absent above
but more abundant below.
The distance is at mr 2 3/4 miles. Up the
mountain it took me 1 1/2 hours to go and
down hill I did it in just half the time.
Tired of course but not as much as expected.
