Left New Haven at the Lawn
Club at 10 A.M. in the Timm-LeVine
car on a vacation trip into the Barke
Country. We traveled by the College High
way to Farmington and New Hartford.
Thence went to Simsbury and near
Pittsfield Remnant we had a fine
lunch at a new ranch house called
the Gellar Coterie. Left here at about 2
P.M. at 3:15 stopped at Bennington
to see the monument commemorating the
battle of 1777. Passed Manchester at
4 P.M. and then through Dorset, Dal-
tingford, Brandon and stopped at
Middlebury CT. Put up at the New
Middlebury Inn.
A warm day but not too hot and
traveled without mishap 225 miles
