New Haven, Conn.
Dec 16-1939 Saturday
I leave the Lawn Club at 11 A.M.
in a yellow Cab to the depot, thus
having broken a large suite case. At
11.48 A.M. promptly Thomas starts and
I am again on my way to Florida.
The day is fine and a little hazy
and Thomas keeps this schedule till
we get to Washington. Then are leave
10 min. late due to the heavy traffic.
Sunday, Dec 17-1939
Slept well all night. The day starts
in foggy and before we get to Jacksonville
the sun is not clear. We are now late
1/2 hours.
The Pullman porter tells me that
meetings started from Washington to Florida
and there I am on had at one time during
the night 20 cars, and continue to Jack-
