April 2, 1934. At Ballast Point all the afternoon to collect foris. But came home and saw some things as before.
Beside the Ballast Point Park are the grounds of the Tampa Yachting Club. Have the garden - a Dane - collector corals and conch from his frontani, and walks around flower beds. He had my two good Turritellas, and otherwise had not one of the few shells I collected. Of conchs he had a great many, but all an away of one species. I doubt if all told were the walls he had more than 3 to 4 species.
Saturday
April 7, 1934. At 11:50 A.M. left Clearwater for Sarasota, where I arrived in time at 9:20 P.M. Put up at Hotel Whitney.
April 8, 1934. Spent the morning seeing Sarasota and its many jacks and ornaments.
