A dark rainy day. Was in the Field Museum from 9.30 A.M. to about 3.30 P.M. It's truly a great Natural Museum. In some features is better than the G.M., Q.H. and the U.S. N.M. This is especially true for Man and Mammals. The halls are also more getatable, being rectangular. Paleontology is not strong and if invertebrates then it little of importance. The Knight prescoes are fine but too large for the hall.
Miss Le Pene and Miss Tomine arrived in the room a little after four in the afternoon. Had dinner together and started on the hotel.
Retired at 10 P.M.
