Rochester, N.Y. Dec. 29-1834 After breakfast took the 9:52 train for N.Y. A dark day, having snowed much during the night. Just about freezing. C.E. Selden of Rochester came aboard the train with me. Had a lot more congratulations this morning. Last night Whick appeared quite silly. He said one: what David. Congratulated me once. Left Rochester on the 9:52 and arrived at N.Y. at 6 P.M. Had an interview with Mr. Philips of Princeton, President of M.A.C. and Bank of Rochester. Left for New Haven at 9 P.M.
