31/2 m. N. of St. Albans There is only one cyl. beneath the pre- cedent beds, valding as far S. as 45 yards W from here & passes th. to cyl. and to Highgate slate. The cliff is about 10 ft. The base of Carling Burying may con- tinue, and two great ridges (runs) on the Highgate slate. Piled around it and multiplies mainly, under north in the Carlin cygl. The trip came off to the vicinity of the Carlin cygl. N. Carling Burying S. Bircham fringe Highgate slate O = Steliferus Carlin Cygl.
