Birmingham - Landover. Went west on A To Kidderminster to Tenbury Wells. 9/19-74. Across red Triassic, then red-purple Old Red S & onto Silurian then Ord. Warwickshire, Herefordshire & Worcesters are charact. by mediaeval wood & stone buildings. Welsh bldgs of yeomen are stone; Wales also is char. by hills w. rock exposed in contrast to England w. rolling grazzy & tree covered slopes & hills. Abundance of sheep. Burning of fields.
