I can get him - Lars says that we (86 will start tomorrow, if the weather is fa- vorable. Although the withdrawal of Jonas is dis- couraging and somewhat of a handicap, considering Cornelius as a substitute, I do not like to turn back without making further effort and Elk advises going on, at least until Lars wants to give up the project. Lars says that he does not believe that the snow below Swartenhuk is impossible. This too seemed to be Jonas's opinion, yest to yesterday anyhow, and he has no different version this one man- Jersen gave me a - pretty woman tells this room - why? Evening when Moses came in from sent hunting he backed out from the jour- nay but now - another man, Lauretz Carlson by name appears on the scene. He has long been eager to go to Iglussuit but has not had clue enough. With the loan of one man Elk and two from Jersen he can make of a pretty good team and I have engaged him to go all the way through, making three Kabino- tits for the entire journey to Igloorsuit and Elk thinks that I will get through all right. They are Lars Williamsen in charge - Cornelius Thorlielsen and Lauretz Carlssen.
