Had received my new canvas in the morn- ing + gotten my things pretty well together so that it did not take my long to get my [illegible] baggage all in order and hav- ing paid my adieux to Mrs Bryder + had a farewell cup of tea with [illegible] Mrs W, Mr Bryder and Thorsen. I got away for the south at 3:12 p.m. on Olee's [illegible] Kahmvotik, 8 dog, + another 4 dog sleigh with my baggage. Was on the sea ice around Sandersons hope and reached Kaersok without incidents or trouble at 6:40 Had coffee and good meat in the cafe of Peter Lestrom schoolmaster. He is 4 years old and guessed me to be 65! He had gotten 3 seals today while other men got none. Mountains here are 2 to 4000 ft high + [illegible] present very picturesque appearance with their precipitous walls. New line is the new noted from the "Clive" in 1915 as being somewhat like entrance to Yoremlite Valley. Left Kaersok with fresh baggage 17 dog sledge and reached Proven at 1:30 a.m. where to my great surprise
