Seal meat & coffee in Kahdli's [illegible] Egloo but had to let my tent for sleeping. Byfog too crowded [Illosalik] & bed platform too short for me. Snowshoeing this morning in my heavy clothing was very hot work & I was glad when it overtook me. After getting on to Kahanootik I wore my netle all day till about 5 o'cl when I changed to Kosetah -- Calm except latter part of afternoon when we encountered N.W. wind from the land. The south Greenland houses are 1 ft off, bricks above ground not any longer. I should think than the northern reports but rectangular and a little high- in inside than some. Lined with boards. Earthen floor. 29 April Sunday. All my habits slept on the ice finally I believe. Beautiful night but foggy this morning (10am). Calm. Seems warmer but not above 32&F
